'Pemi Aguda
‘Pemi Aguda is a Nigerian writer and the author of the novel One Leg on Earth (2026) and the short story collection Ghostroots (2024), which was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction, the PEN/Faulkner Award, The Los Angeles Times First Fiction Prize, and the New York Public Library Young Lions Fiction Award. Her short fiction has received multiple O. Henry Prizes, a Nommo Award, the Henfield Prize, and the Writivism Prize. She is currently the Hortense Spillers Assistant Editor at Transition Magazine.
