Artist Talk: New Works
371 Broadway New York, NY 1F Main Gallery
Three Korean artists based in New York will discuss the process of creating new works for the inaugural exhibition. After completing their undergraduate studies in Korea, each pursued graduate studies at leading programs in New York. Working across diverse media—from photography to time-based installations—they transform small moments of friction encountered in their daily lives into physical forms, as a habitant in between.
How did ZeroOne, as an exhibition space, serve as a catalyst within this process? From the early stages, the artists visited the raw, unfinished gallery space, observing defining features such as expansive windows and exposed ceilings. Through ongoing dialogue, they gradually translated their ideas into the works now installed in the space. In particular, Hong began creating her new work directly within the empty gallery. During the talk, the artists will share their experiences and images documenting this unique process.
RSVP at info@zeroone.space is required due to limited capacity.
